Mero Dance Universe, Season 2

In 2025, Amrita represented Sikkim on one of the region’s biggest dance reality stages and placed 1st Runner-Up — performing contemporary, Bollywood, Nepali folk and narrative pieces across the season, and finishing as one of the two best dancers in the competition.

The result was publicly recognised by the Intra-National Welfare and Support Foundation of America and by community leaders and dignitaries across several felicitation events.

Where she trained

Terence Lewis Professional Training Institute

Before she taught anyone else, Amrita trained under some of the strictest technical standards in Indian dance — certified at the Terence Lewis Professional Training Institute in Mumbai, alongside training at Nritya Shakti Studio and Big Dance Centre.

That foundation — discipline first, style second — is what every Aangan class is still built on.

Nritya Shakti Studio, Mumbai

Alongside Terence Lewis and Big Dance Centre, Amrita trained at Nritya Shakti Studio — putting in the same hours on technique and stagecraft that now shape how she teaches every group at Aangan, from a four-year-old’s first class to a competition routine.
